About Me
I have a passion to mentor and tutor individuals from a variety of age groups, from elementary to college! During college, I worked as a chemistry laboratory teaching aide where I instructed ASU students about the fundamentals of various topics which included equilibrium theory, thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, and descriptive chemistry. I also spent some time as an undergraduate researcher in a neurodegenerative lab investigating Alzheimer's disease and learning valuable techniques that incorporated basic chemistry, math, and writing proficiency. I promoted STEM related topics to underprivileged youth by mentoring them using lectures and hands-on activities including neurophysiology, microbiology, and aerospace engineering. In addition to this, I have assisted with teaching elementary students basic science related subjects such as physics, chemistry, ecology and biology through small learning groups. I also have experience tutoring children with Autism, intellectual disabilities, ADHD and OCD.My goal is to understand the individualistic learning strategies associated with those I tutor. It's important to figure out what works best for a particular person so that they're truly grasping the information they need to succeed academically. I consider myself to be a very empathetic, optimistic, and inventive person. In my free time I love to watch movies, play video games, and spend time with my family!
