When my students struggle to understand a concept, I take it upon myself to change the way that I'm teaching to better explain the idea at hand. Having tutored a large range of age groups, from elementary school to college, I understand the importance to catering my lessons towards the students. Building a safe and comfortable relationship with my students helps them open up and ask questions when they're unsure, instead of pretending that they get it. I strive to have my students understand the concept, not just memorize how to solve a problem, but how to apply the concepts that are learned to solve problems.
