As a recent graduate in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a passionate mathematician, I am looking to share my insight and passion through tutoring students. I strive to add fun to subjects that are usually seen as bland or less than exciting, and create a positive learning atmosphere for each student to grow and prosper in. My tutoring and education experience stems from 7 Winters' worth of skiing and snowboarding instruction, with a specialty in childhood and adolescent education (ages ranging from 4-16). I have been able to refine my teaching techniques through hundreds of lessons, and hold a highly positive track record with clients, students, and fellow instructors. Working as an instructor, I feel the best when I see my students working on their skills after the lesson on the mountain and seeing them, their friends, and their family have fun. Previously I tutored a first-year college student in Chemistry I, helping her transform from a struggling student to a success story through careful and patient review of the materials and implementing relevant real-world applications into my work.
