I am a Psychology major at ASU, graduating December 2015. I have a lot of experience teaching including being a teaching assistant for a psychology 101 class of over 450 students. I know everybody learns differently and I love figuring out which teaching styles work best for each student. Psychology involves many theories and abstract concepts so I find it helpful to provide real world examples that can help my students really understand. Personally, I learn best when I can receive the information from multiple sources. So when I teach, I like to do the same, taking material from textbooks, power points, silly videos, or even TV shows to further understanding. I also believe that teaching a concept really helps the learning process. I encourage my students, once they have mastered a topic, to try to teach or explain it to someone else. Being able to do this really means you fully understand. When I am not tutoring, I like to go long boarding or play my electric guitar. I love going to concerts and my favorite genres of music are alternative and hardcore. I also have an interest in fashion and photo shoots.
