About Me
I am currently a first year master's degree student at Tufts University in the Occupational Therapy Program. I have tutored for six years both for work and volunteering. I began tutoring in high school as a part time job. I mainly tutored middle school students in math. During my undergraduate education, I volunteered as a tutor for elementary students. I also tutored ESL to a refugee from South Sudan; we prepared for the citizenship exam (which he passed) and worked on his reading and speaking skills. My experience as well as my current education in Occupational Therapy enable me to adapt my teaching style for each student. I try to make lessons as interactive and rewarding as possible. Students should feel comfortable during a tutoring session asking questions and confident after a tutoring session with the material we've covered. Outside of school I enjoy dancing, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I also love animals and will be taking a course next semester on Animal Assisted Therapy.
