In addition I hold a Bachelor of Communications in Writing Arts. While at Rowan I had the opportunity to work with a wide array of students at the elementary level, each with unique learning styles and preferences. On top of my elementary experience I also have tutored college, and ESL students in the area of writing. I am most passionate about language arts and literacy, as I have found that if a student is confident in their ability to read and write, they improve across the curriculum. Since graduation I have gone on to teach third grade in an inner city school district, with many struggling learners. I strive to engage all learners in their own education, by using an individualized approach that works best for them. Seeing a smile on a students face when they realize that they are learning, the pride and confidence they feel makes everybody's hard work worth it. Aside from teaching I enjoy writing, reading for pleasure, being outdoors, and of course baseball.
