America's Freedom Documents
Here are the "Freedom Documents" from Early America — the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
As with all of the documents on view here at Archiving Early America, they are shown as they first appeared to the public at that time, along with the full text of each document.
While we encourage everyone to visit the original documents on display at the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., we realize that for some that is not possible. For those, we are making these documents available in facsimile to all Americans, young and old, to be witness to the cornerstones of the Early Republic.
