Hello, my name is Yara Ajeeb, and I'm an English tutor.
As an immigrant who's first language isn't English, I understand the struggles students face when obtaining a new language. My hope is to facilitate a language to students and allow them to have a strong comprehension which will help them in their careers and education.
I have a TESOL certificate, a DEC in Arts and Literature from Dawson College, and I'm currently in an undergraduate program at Concordia University. I'm majoring in English Literature with a minor in French Studies.
I teach English for all levels, and English for non-native speakers. I'm interested in teaching how to write at an academic/professional level in English.
I've been tutoring for around three years, and my teaching philosophy highlights the student's own comprehensive ability. I think to learn a language, one must be engaged in the cultural realm. My classes will be animated, dynamic and comprehensive.
I hope to introduce the beauty of the English language and its versatility to my students!

Hello! I’m Yara, and I’m an English tutor. I am passionate about digital art and have been working on starting my online store. In addition, I love writing and have several projects and stories in progress. One of my projects is titled "Rebirth," a memoir about my immigration experience. I am also working on translating a non-fiction work about time theory.
