I have taught high school students for over 4 years and I greatly enjoy helping students reach their full potential both academically and personally. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Creighton University and a Master of Arts in Education from Saint Mary's University. I am interested in a wide range of subjects, but I am most passionate about theology and history. I truly believe that given the proper tools, assistance, and personal motivation every student can succeed academically. Successful teaching involves delivering content to students in a way that matches their own individual learning style.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would first want to know what their academic goals are, and then what motivated them to seek tutoring. I would then inquire about their academic strengths and weakness and ensure we come up with a plan that is going to best fit their learning style.
