I am currently attending Kean University to complete a B.S in Chemistry . I believe having the fundamentals in every subject area is the stepping stone to a solid foundation. I am an individual who prides education as great pillars to success and would like to assist children or adults achieve their highest potential in life. This all begins with the willingness to learn and putting your best foot forward, along with excellent mentoring and guidance.
I began my educational career in the United States whilst working as a caregiver with kids ranging from newborn to ten years old. My passion for learning has earned me two degrees thus far and at present I am a student at Kean University enrolled in the B.S Chemistry program . I love to share my knowledge with others. This I have done through group study and one on one. I assisted anyone I encountered who needed help whether encouragement, confidence boosting, or just a simpler way to understand material.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will use this session as an opportunity to get acquainted with the student and ask questions that will give me a sense of the help the student needs.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I would encourage the student to attempt all subject matter, and give help after he or she has made an effort.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would encourage the student to try various levels of difficulty in subject matter and create a score card. Finding different study aids to help with understanding the material would also be helpful.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would look for subject matter that precedes those concepts and ensure they are clearly defined.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
I will use less challenging words to help them grasp the idea.
