"Different is not a Disability" -- This has become my life motto. As a young child I was often sent to tutors because it seemed I could not learn during class time. My lack of learning was not due to lack of intelligence, but simply not understanding.
I learn differently than most students, which is why I decided to tutor. I want to help others who are in my situation: students who are made to feel that because they learn differently they have a problem. As a teacher, I believe it is important to make sure students feel confident when doing their work.
It is now my job in the role as teacher to make sure no child feels what I felt... alone. For me, becoming a tutor is much more than just a job. It is my mission to make sure at the end of each session my students feel they can do it. I want my students to understand being different and learning differently are not wrong. It's an honor, not a disability.

Everyone can learn. It's my job to figure out what way you learn.
