Certified Tutor

I graduated with honors from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a focus in technical and expository writing. During my senior year, I was a student grader for over 100 freshman and sophomore college students in a British Literature class while completing over fifteen hours my last semester and I was still able to graduate with honors. I continued with my Master of Arts in English Literature at UTSA and am capable of tutoring any genre of literature. I kept all of the books and materials from every class, so I have everything needed to tutor any and all genres. Also, I can tutor History courses because they parallel many of the English courses. My B.A. and M.A. allow me to help students of any age with research, writing, reading, studying, editing, test prep, standardized tests, and I have the unique ability to cater to each individual student with a large amount of patience. My ability to cater and adapt to each individual student comes from growing up in a military family that had to constantly move. Moving constantly from birth to the age of eighteen instilled in me the ability to adapt quickly to change and it gave me the wisdom to recognize when something is working and not working to make the necessary changes. Not only has my education given me the skills necessary to tutor and teach, but my work as a corporate trainer and student grader have prepared me for this opportunity. Education is a necessary tool for the betterment of life, something I absolutely believe in and want to contribute to for the rest of my life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my family, yoga, watching college football, and taking care of my blind dog.
