While I did not become the high school English teacher I thought I would be when I was 8, my entire career has included teaching, training, knowledge transfer, and the joy of being a lifelong learner. I am passionate about supporting people in their educational and career goals and find personal satisfaction in seeing my students succeed. I graduated from Bellevue University with both my undergraduate and MBA degrees and have taken many professional courses regarding communication and organizational behavior.
I think the two skills that make me a great teacher are: 1. The ability to listen to my student and then translate the material in to the language they understand and 2. Patience. Sometimes I have to approach the material from multiple angles until my student finally grasps the concept. That is work that the two of us do together.
From brand new coding students to near retirement surgeons, I have supported a wide variety of learners in reaching their learning goals. I am a medical coding and billing expert and also enjoy business, math and statistics.
I am an avid knitter, love learning to cook new cuisines, watch football and auto racing, and practice yoga and meditation.
