I graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a PhD in Chemistry(Organic) from Union College and Purdue University, respectively. Since then I have been working professionally as an organic chemist for more than 6 years. During graduate school I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate general chemistry and organic chemistry. I was also a general chemistry teaching assistant during my senior year of college. During that time, I also tutored biology, chemistry and calculus to low income students. I enjoy teaching science, particularly chemistry. I have found that learning conceptual science subjects requires a combination of learning tools and every student has their unique set of tools that provides them with the best learning experience. I believe that tapping into each individuals intellect and identifying their unique learning capabilities and best studying techniques usually helps them to achieve the best results. This is what I aim to do for all of my students. During my free time, I enjoy biking and learning new crafts.
