I am a former music performance student, and a recent biology graduate at UTDallas. I am a former TA for an introductory biology course at UTDallas, with much experience in lesson planning and disseminating information to accommodate individuals of differing paces and learning styles. I strive to become a physician, specializing in either pediatrics or emergency medicine. I have taken the Medical College Admission Exam (MCAT) and scored in the 80th percentile, outperforming 80 percent of other junior and senior pre-meds who took the same exam.
My teaching approach centers heavily on careful observation of learning styles and paces, positive reinforcement, clear expectations, goal-setting, and visualization of learning outcomes to motivate study outside of tutoring sessions. I make carefully-tailored lesson plans according to a student's needs and goals. When possible, I always try to use hand-drawn illustrations with annotations and commentary, as to provide clear representation of concepts and allow for dual-encoding of information.

I enjoy playing piano and clarinet in my free time, and have a deep affection for romantic era compositions. My favorite composers are Maurice Ravel and Sergei Rachmaninoff. I love to paint with both brush and roller, and I'm always up for a home redecoration project.
