I am a graduate of Wyoming Catholic College and received a B.A. in the Liberal Arts. During college, I studied Latin for four years and then after graduation, spent a few months living in Rome and studying Latin. Within the past two years, I've taught Latin in a classroom setting.
Latin is my main passion in the realm of teaching. And as a Latin teacher, I see reading and writing Latin to be an effective learning method, but even more so, learning to speak the language as a living language (and trust me, it is a living language! If you don't believe me, then come study with me and I'll prove it, lol!). Aside from Latin I also greatly enjoy teaching English, History, and Rhetoric.
After College, I spent time traveling to different parts of the world as well as many areas of the USA. I also spent that time working many different jobs and experiencing many adventures in life.
The reason I enjoy tutoring Latin is because I well remember my days as a Latin student. The work was often difficult, and at times, overwhelming. But I was blessed to have learned Latin in a way that was engaging and something that had a life of its own! I'm here to help because I know what you are going through. In academics, there are many paths to success and I can help you start down the one best for you. Because at the end of the day, I am here to teach a student, not a subject! The subject can only be an instrument, not the end goal. The end goal has to be your growth and fulfillment through the subject. I will always do my best to honor your needs as the individual. Period.
