As I lifelong learner myself, I love imparting knowledge on others and growing with my students. I am a graduate of Lewis and Clark College, with a BA in chemistry and minors in mathematics and Chinese. For the past few years I have been tutoring my college classmates in chemistry, math, and Chinese, and acted as a discussion leader and lab facilitator for chemistry classes. I love working with others to help them thrive! I also am an ESL teacher and work with young students in China who are learning English.
My absolute favorite subject to help with is organic chemistry because of the visual and conceptual skills that it empowers students with. I enjoy working with a wide array of students and building up their confidence. I also enjoy tutoring Mandarin, which I learned to speak through academic coursework and a semester of language-intensive learning in Beijing. Besides tutoring, I like reading, cooking, and devouring history documentaries.
Undergraduate Degree: Lewis-Clark State College - Bachelor in Arts, Chemistry
I have worked in a few chemistry wet labs and enjoy conducting research. I also like reading (my favorite author is Virginia Woolf!) and trying out new baking recipes. I am a big history buff too. When I want to relax I watch Chinese high-school dramas to practice my language skills.
