Teaching students to learn is my passion. Every student can learn, the problem might need to be introduced a different way for them to be successful. I do not think learning ever stops, I believe students need to be taught to look for opportunities to grow, even when they are not in school. I create a fun learning environment where the student wants to keep learning even after the session is over. I have a Bachelors in education and I have taken 36 credits toward my masters in special education from Liberty University. I have worked as a preschool teacher, part time teacher, and as a paraeducator. I am certified as a Registered Behavior Technician and I also have a Dyslexic awareness certificate.
I specialize in elementary reading, writing, and math, although my favorite subject to teach is math. There are so many exciting ways to incorporate math into the students every day life. The way that I teach, is bringing excitement to the lesson, and having patience when needed. The answer is not just going to appear to the student, it takes practice and encouragement from me to get there.
