I am originally from the Pacific North West and graduated in 2018 from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's in Public Health and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. It was through the Entrepreneurship minor I discovered a love for adventure, creative-outlets, and collaboration. Utilizing these passions, I pursued a career through Teach For America and was given the amazing opportunity of teaching 7th grade Math in Houston, Texas. I taught at the most diverse campus in the school district and my students forever changed me. Teaching became more than just a job, but a passion. My students taught me what it meant to be resilient in the face of challenges and together we built a classroom that valued our differences, our unique strengths, and our collective growth mindset. I am honored to be an educator and I am passionate about instilling a deep belief in each of my students that they are strong, they are capable, and they have an innate potential to be successful in this world.
