I am from Atlanta, Georgia, and a fifth year graduate student in a clinical psychology doctoral program at Marquette University, where I also earned my Master's of Science. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2016, earning a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with departmental distinction.
At Marquette I do A LOT of research and it is all about how to help adolescents become more resilient and lead healthy lives. Most of my work focuses on how positive teacher-student relationships can be protective and beneficial for adolescents. This research has really helped me be a more compassionate and engaging teacher and tutor.
I have worked with all age groups and taught/tutored everything from canoeing to statistics! I most enjoy tutoring writing. I believe that writing in all forms can open up a world of possibilities and creativity; even scientific writing can be artful. I can also tutor all social sciences, particularly psychology, which is my passion. Additionally, I can help improve confidence and skill in elementary and middle school math, sciences, and reading comprehension, as well as high school history, literature, writing, and biology. I believe learning is beautiful and the magic is in the process!
When I am not doing school-related activities, I enjoy trying new restaurants, reading thrillers, cooking, and binge-watching my favorite TV shows on Netflix.
