I am currently a music education major at Wheaton College (IL), and teaching is a love language of mine! Helping others understand the beautiful world we live in and grow into their potential have always been desires of mine. As a young adult, I delighted in leading music at my church's vacation Bible school. Since then, I have had the privileges of teaching Bible stories while on missions in Hartford and Central America, teacher aiding in a middle school music classroom, helping individuals one-on-one in a multitude of subjects, and so much more! Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of meeting students exactly where they are. As a tutor, my goal is to establish a sturdy platform of knowledge and learning strategies for the student. Figuring out exactly what they already know and making clear connections to what they need to know does two important things: builds their confidence and opens the door to being lifelong learners. I look forward to doing this through helping people with Spanish, various music-related studies, and writing. With these passions at heart, I am thoroughly excited to be working with VarsityTutors!

Recently, I have been learning a lot about what it means to be healthy. Having lost 50 pounds and counting through some consistent lifestyle changes, cooking, gardening, and exercising in nature have all become things in my daily routine that I greatly enjoy. I LOVE to do all things musical, too, including compose; just last year, I conquered the colossal task of writing my first symphony! On the regular, I like being involved at church, figure skating (as I was on a theatrical team for seven years growing up), pursuing Spanish, and on occasion, doing some creative writing. Since quarantine began, I have also found myself returning to loving reading!
