My teaching and tutoring style is to be as interactive as possible. I involve students in every step of their learning. Rather than provide easy answers, I guide students through the learning process.
As a certified teacher, I specialize in ELA (6-12) and Spanish (6-12). In the past, I have taught middle school English. I have also taught Spanish and French for k-5th grade. I love languages and enjoy teaching the cultural aspects of language.
Currently, I work with academically at-risk college students.
During my graduate studies, I taught college English writing, and college-level History. I have also coached graduate students on scholarship applications (NSF, FORD) and helped undergraduate students apply to Graduate Schools.

I love to garden and to bake. In my spare time, I like to be adventurous and try recipes from all over the world. I enjoy reading literature from Francophone countries as well as from Latin America. My goal this summer is to grow my own vegetable garden.
