I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 with a degree in English Literature and Honors in Creative Writing. I am very passionate about how literature helps all of us understand the human condition, how we relate to one another, and where we fit in this world.
After my time at the University, I spent 2 years as a Fulbright Fellow overseas in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan teaching English and working alongside the U.S. Embassies in creating greater cultural exchange and awareness in Central Asia.
Based on those experiences and more, I have gained strong communication skills, some teaching methodology (though there is also more to learn!), and a greater understanding of how powerful education can be. I hope to continue learning as I teach others, since I believe that teaching is a two-way street.
