I received my High school education at Gilbert High school, obtaining my diploma there, and I am currently attending Arizona State University as a Sophomore student. As of now I am pursuing a degree in Psychology on the path to becoming a Clinical Psychologist.
I have been a Private tutor for 4 years, instructing mostly Junior high aged students primarily in basic math concepts as well as history and English. I also tutored my fellow high school students focusing on paper editing and more advanced mathematical concepts. Although I tutored in it sparsely, History is my favorite subject to help people in. I feel as though History is best understood as a grand story, and I find it challenging yet rewarding to help students understand and remain engaged in that "story".
My style of tutoring is very straightforward and communicative, valuing clarity and understanding. I try as best as possible to remain on the same page as whoever I'm tutoring in order to best understand what the problem is and how to solve it. It is also important to recognize that many times, the problem lies outside of the material, and the student needs a more conceptual approach; I am fully comfortable educating in that regard.
Outside of academia I have many hobbies I enjoy to occupy my time. I enjoy reading philosophy, drawing, making music, and playing video games. I also enjoy spending lots of time with my friends and family.
