With over a decade of tutoring and teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students achieve their best. As a tutor, I consider it my responsibility to act as a facilitator so that my students can become more skilled in their studies and succeed in their goals.
I hold a B.A. in Philosophy (with a minor in Classical Studies) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an M.A. in Philosophy from Saint Louis University, and I am currently a PhD candidate in Philosophy at Saint Louis University.
As an undergraduate, I worked as a tutor in Philosophy, Classical Languages and Mythology, and Writing Skills. As a PhD student I have taught a variety of Philosophy courses and I have worked as a Writing Tutor for my University. I can offer assistance in a variety of areas of philosophy (ranging from Introduction to Philosophy to upper-level courses such as Philosophy of Religion or Medical Ethics). As a writing tutor, I can provide helpful feedback in academic writing or in professional writing (applications, personal statements, etc.). My teaching emphasizes the importance of clearly thinking about and communicating ideas.
