My name is Devon Kaat, and I provide tutoring services for a variety of subjects such as ACT Math, English, Science, Reading, and other general courses such as Statistics, Precalculus, Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and more.
My university education commenced at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC; I double majored in Forensic Psychology (B.A.) and Applied Mathematics (B.S.) and succeeded in many courses including advanced calculus, advanced probability and statistics, object-orienting computer programming (C++), and more.
Throughout my career, I have always tutored - it is one of my favorite things to do! I have years of experience with both in-person and online tutoring, and have taught as many as 30 students at a time in a physical classroom setting or as little as a single student for 30 minutes to several hours!
I prioritize understanding over memorization, and apply the methods of Bloom's Taxonomy to my teaching and tutoring.
My schedule is very flexible, and I always look to work around my clients' lives - tutoring is important and I treat it as such, but I understand it may not always be at the top of your list!
I look forward to improving with you and getting to know your unique situation!
