I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science with an Ecology concentration from SUNY - Plattsburgh. My family was military so my career path moved from the environment to one in Chemistry. I worked 10 years as an analytical chemist before deciding to become a teacher. After earning my teaching certificate, I went back to college to earn my Masters in Education. I have 20 years of experience teaching high school science. I've taught almost all of the core science classes - physical science, biology, AP biology, environmental science, AP environmental science and chemistry. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I believe the key to success in school, no matter what the grade level is matching the instructional strategy to the student.
