What makes me passionate about helping students is the fact that I have been in situations where I do not understand the material and just wished someone would come and save me. I've been there; I know what it feels like.
I have helped students from ages 5 to 65+. I used to be a tutor for the College of Southern Nevada, so I have some professional training in professional tutoring.
I received my bachelor of science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in Mechanical Engineering.
I tutor most math courses and some physics courses.
My favorite subject to tutor is math because I enjoy seeing the smile on someone's face when they finally understand how to do math and why it's done.
My teaching style revolves around the Feynman technique. I teach the problem, then I walk the student through the problem, and finally I have the student teach me the problem. When a student is teaching the problem it fascilitates the process in understanding exactly what they are not understanding.
My interests outside of academia are basketball, soccer, boxing, guitar, piano, learning about cars, and learning mechatronics.
