I first discovered a love for tutoring as a college student at Purdue University majoring in Spanish Education. I had the opportunity to tutor students from Spanish 101 to Spanish Lit. I really enjoyed the ability to have a one-on-one conversation with a student and really tailor my instruction and help towards what would best help that particular student.
I have been teaching now for about five years. I say about because I did take a year and a half break away from teaching to explore other passions I had: baking, restaurants and entrepreneurship. However, I discovered that those passions were just that: passions. They were not something that really fulfilled me as a career like teaching did. After taking that break, I find myself to be even more driven and excited about teaching than I ever have been because I know that this is the right career path for me.
I love the opportunities learning Spanish can provide people, and I have many tricks up my sleeve that I believe make the language more approachable, even to those that find it very challenging. I am excited to work with you and meet you where you are currently at with the language and get you to where you want and need to be!
