I am a graduate of Georgia State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in French. A few years later, I completed the Masters of Arts in Teaching certification at the University of Memphis. Since graduation, I have spent most of my time as a middle school pre-algebra teacher. Currently, I teach pre-algebra to students with special needs, and I love my job! What my students love most about me is my patience and my ability to relate math to the real world.
I tutor a broad range of subjects, but my true passion is teaching math to middle and high school students, especially students who really struggle to understand math. As an experienced math teacher, I know where students have common misunderstandings and pitfalls, and I can help.
Another passion of mine is tutoring adults who need help passing teacher certification exams. As someone who has been through the certification process, I can relate to how stressful testing can be. Whether you are taking a PRAXIS exam for the first time or the fifth time, I can help you get the score you need!
When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I'm usually hanging out with my two awesome nieces, who are 9 and 13. We love going to Six Flags, movies, and roller skating.
