I have a doctorate in physics from the University of Minnesota. I worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory developing magnetic microdevices for 6 years and then decided to stay home with my son. Since I started tutoring in 2014, my students have been almost equally divided between university and high school learners. I like doing math and physics problems, and I think these can be very intellectually rewarding for anyone. More specifically, math is great because you can usually verify on your own whether or not an answer is right. I enjoy tutoring because I can see that I'm actually helping someone. I currently work part-time with a small rapid prototyping company doing 3-D scanning.
