I am a student at the University of St. Thomas, pursuing a Bachelor's of Arts in French language and culture, with minors in Spanish language and culture, and General Business, and I earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America program. I am fluent in both French and Spanish, and intend on learning Portuguese in the near future. I am widely travelled, including France, Canada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. I tutor a broad range of subjects, including French, Spanish, English - both writing and literature - and History, but French really is my passion. My philosophy in learning French is to help the student fall in love with the language and the possibilities inherent in speaking another language; this includes studying the diverse cultures that utilize this language, not only in Europe, but in North America, Africa, and Asia. I believe that learning another language not only has diverse economic advantages, but also emotional and mental advantages, ranging from making friends to helping prevent Alzheimer's Disease. In my spare time, I like to watch French and Spanish language cinema and travel.
