Teaching has always been something I was naturally passionate about. I started teaching piano in 9th grade, working with neighbors in my local community. In college, I joined a group called the Experimentors who taught K-12 science and math. We traveled to various schools throughout Boston after class and organized curriculums for different subjects and age groups. However, I was always drawn more to teaching one-on-one, where I could form a relationship and really tailor my teaching style to the students’ way of thinking and approaching various concepts and ideas. I have been fortunate to instruct and engage with students in a variety of ways, from teaching as a summer school proctor, classroom teacher, private tutor as well as a teaching assistant in a classroom setting, all of which have strengthened the various methods and techniques I have learned as a mentor. I also have a strong academic background, with a degree in biophysics as well as in music and teaching experience in both fields. I hope to use my experience to help students develop a deeper understanding of physics, biology, math and music as well as cater to each individual students needs and approaches to learning and understanding.
