I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science. As an undergraduate student, I focused my studies and extracurricular activities on medicine and science. I have since completed a Post-Baccalaureate Business program at Columbia University; next fall I will begin my MBA studies at Indiana University where I will focus on health care and nonprofit management.
I began tutoring when I was a high school student and continued throughout college. For the past four years, I have worked full time as a Director of Operations with the National Student Leadership Conference. At the NSLC, I worked closely with the Engineering and Medicine and Health Care conferences where some of responsibilities included writing lesson plans, revising the curricula, and lecturing to students. Math and science have always been my favorite subjects, and I love bringing real world applications into lessons! I believe that a strong math and science foundation is essential to all students as the knowledge and critical thinking skills will prove beneficial throughout a student's academic careers and beyond.
I also love to read and many of my favorite books are about sports. I have been a fan of the New York Yankees for as long as I can remember, and professional football season is my favorite time of year. I spend many Sundays watching games and managing my fantasy teams. I also love dancing, doing yoga, playing with my dog, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants.
