Since high school I have found great enjoyment in sharing my excitement for Math and Science with others when I began tutoring peers after school in the subjects I enjoyed most. I then continued my passion for teaching throughout college as I taught classmates as well as students of under-served populations in Baltimore city. Following college, I spent a year teaching high school students of various ages in Philadelphia. Since then, I have worked at the University of Pennsylvania researching traumatic brain injury. After completing a rigorous academic path, I have learned that we learn best when we are able to both apply the material we learn and have fun in the process. Because I am passionate about the sciences, I incorporate them into my everyday life and teach with enthusiasm and creativity. I recognize that every student has different styles and rates of learning, so I cater my lessons to best align with each student. I will never ask my students to work beyond their capabilities, but I will strive to show them they are capable of far more than they may initially think. Through providing an interactive and engaging teaching environment, I will do my best to bring each and every student to fulfill their potential and ultimately enjoy what they are learning!
