Trigonometry Tutoring review by Sean in Portland, OR
We went over variants of the review problems from yesterday's set. The student grew visibly bored of my re-explanations, indicating that he was comprehending the material well enough. With a few re-examinations of a select few problems (equation of a perpendicular bisector, sinusoid functions, and digit permutations), which I mentioned to him. The student should be prepared for his upcoming test.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Joseph in Portland, OR
Tonight, the student and I worked briefly on graphs of the tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant functions before moving on to proving trig identities. He remembered a lot of what we discussed last time regarding graphs, so he didn't have much trouble there; however, the proofs took him a while. By the end, he seemed more comfortable with the process, but we will still need to keep practicing to improve his algebra.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Trisha in Portland, OR
The student has a test in trig on unit 3 on Wednesday. However, this unit is not as intense as the previous one. Most of this unit is comprised of word problems that utilize the different trigonometric functions along with Pythagorean theorem. He has become very comfortable with these functions, so he knows when to use one over the other.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Lee in Portland, OR
The student is continuing her work sequences and series. We worked on an assignment that had some more problems on arithmetic and geometric sequences. She was having a bit of trouble working backwards from the value of the term to which term it was, but she figured it out by the end of the session. We then started working on recursive formulas, which she thought were generally a little easier.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Christopher in Portland, OR
Today was just a long session with the student and I was very impressed with her progress over the course of one day. We covered special right triangles, the three trigonometric ratios, Pythagorean theorem, and classification of triangles. I am very confident that after today's session, she has a clear enough understanding to score very well on her test tomorrow.
