How can a Trigonometry tutor help you?

You first get introduced to the concept of shapes and angles in grade school, when you study geometry and algebra. Some high schoolers take on the more advanced trigonometry classes, but others may not until they're in college. In this course, you learn about the relationships between the angles and sides of triangles. If you didn't do well in geometry, then it's possible that you may struggle a bit in trigonometry. You can find trigonometry problems in geometry courses, so you should be familiar with it by the time you take this course.

However, if you end up struggling with the materials, you can opt to connect with a tutor. A trigonometry tutor in Oceanside, CA, can offer you a more individualized, engaging, and structured learning experience. Your sessions can be tailored towards your weaknesses, so that you can focus solely on strengthening them. Session Summaries by Trigonometry Tutors

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Tiffany in Oceanside, CA
The session began with the student and I reviewing vocabulary words unique to multiplication and division. He cut out and pasted his math vocabulary words onto construction paper. Then he read and solved several multiplication and division word problems. In addition to solving the word problems, I asked him to match the vocabulary words to the strategy he needed to use to solve the problem. He was also required to justify his answer.

During the session, I checked over the student's homework regarding conversion calculations between ounces, pounds, and tons. I noticed a few errors when the client was asked to multiply 2 two-digit numbers. I worked on that with the student by giving him additional practice problems and helping him work through those. He had a better understanding of the concept by the end of the session.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Jennifer in Oceanside, CA
We worked on linear algebra questions involving variables on one and two sides. We also checked our work using substitution. We reviewed all geometrical terms through the use of a game, that i made up. I gave the student a review sheet that was made up of some questions that she said she had problems with. I also taught her how to do circumference. We completed her homework which involved bar charts and line graphs.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Cedric in Oceanside, CA
Material Covered: Statistics, Normal Distribution, Correlation and Causation We reviewed normal distribution and identifying how data is skewed working through problems. Covered the difference between correlation and causation. Devised techniques in graphing treadlines in scatterplots by hand to understand where the correlation variable originates. We also sub-divided correlation into positive, negative, and none by creating realistic examples outside of the problems given. Extra practice was given to follow through with creating stem and leaf plots from data given in chart form. No report of grade progress due to previous week of bad weather. Student continues to be engaged and willing to learn from mistakes to develop good habits of learning.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Devon in Oceanside, CA
The big task tonight was to do a practice algebra test. I questioned the student as to whether I was allowed to help him, and he insisted it was OK. Given that it was sent home, I went ahead and assisted. He was able to translate some of the word problems into algebraic, and he has a good understanding of expressions vs. equations. He did need help with a few problems, especially where he had to analyze a table and determine what was done to the input to get the output. I showed him the trick of counting how much the output goes up each time, but he needs more practice.
