I was a very involved student on and off campus and completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in 4 years, so I learned excellent time management and study practices. I'm originally from the Chicago suburbs but travel a lot for work and have lived all over the world, and love being able to communicate in the native language of places I travel. I speak both French and Nepali at an advanced level! Most of my previous tutoring experience comes from my time serving in the Peace Corps, where I worked with students of all ages and supported their learning in and outside the classroom on a variety of subjects. My tutoring style is very personalized to the student I am working with; I love to start by identifying the student's broader goals and how excelling at the subject at hand will help them achieve their goals, then breaking down the steps to mastery of the subject into bite-size achievements.
