- In addition, I also stress the importance of understanding the "why" behind mathematics rather than memorizing arbitrary math rules.
About Me
I have worked as a high school Algebra I/Geometry teacher, a middle school math interventionist, and am currently teaching at a community college. I am a teacher who is motivated by results; I want all of my students to be able to see their progress in their grades so they can develop confidence in their skills. When students get to understand the meaning behind why we use a rule or formula in math, we get to see a lightbulb light up in them. Once this occurs, we are able to truly begin problem solving, which is the heart of mathematics.
