About Me

With 12 years of experience working with special needs students in self-contained and resource settings, I am passionate about helping students achieve greatness. I firmly believe that all students, regardless of their abilities, can learn and excel when taught in a way that meets their individual learning needs. Throughout my career as an instructional facilitator and MTSS coach, I have worked with students from K-12, creating personalized learning plans to help them reach their goals. I hold a bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education and a Master's in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership and Special Education, furthering my expertise to support diverse learners. I tutor reading, writing, math, science, and social studies for K-12 students, with a special focus on those with learning disabilities and special needs. My favorite subject to tutor is reading because I believe books can take students anywhere and open endless opportunities for learning. My teaching philosophy centers around the belief that every student has the potential to succeed. By recognizing each student's strengths and learning style, I tailor lessons to meet their unique needs. Outside of academia, I enjoy exploring new books and continuously expanding my knowledge to better support my students. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to provide individualized support to students who need that extra help to succeed.
