I took many opportunities to teach during my collegiate experience, from taking seminar courses with between-peer teaching and collaboration built into the syllabus to offering to lead miniature lectures and workshops on specific topics in major-specific courses. As a tutor, I believe that intrinsic motivation and curiosity are deeply valuable, both within and outside education. Asking and answering questionsfrom practice questions for exams to rhetorical questions and thought experimentsare a central part of how I teach. Outside of work, I enjoy writing and performing my own music, developing worldbuilding or conlanging projects, reading fantasy fiction, and dancing.
