I am passionate about helping students because I believe that they are not only our future but they deserve to be the best they can without limitations. My experience working with students has been being a substitute teacher on and off for the past year and a half and homeschooling my children for three years. I have faced numerous challenges with them and learned a lot in how to accommodate their learning needs both being Autistic and having combined ADHD. I have been with Varsity Tutors for the past 2 years and love working with a multitude of different students while watching them grow! I received my Bachelor of Science degree in 2023 from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia with a background in Early Childhood/Special Education and finished off in Mental Health. I enjoy teaching ELA especially to K-5 because these are the most important years to develop critical skills needed to succeed in the future. Helping students empathize with characters, places and concepts, especially when those things are different from their own life experiences improves their ability to comprehend the material. In addition, I feel that allowing children to utilize their imaginations through writing and drawings inhibits growth mindset which if vital for development. I cannot wait to start working with you and watching you grow while becoming more confident in yourself!

I enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking from scratch, have homeschooled for 3 years and am a Holistic Nutrition Consultant who loves to help others maintain a healthy lifestyle!
