I spent most of my professional career as a newspaper reporter and editor in Alaska. I have a BA from Yale and master's degrees in linguistics and history. I have tutored with more than 600 online students, mostly for advanced English, and would like to help people in other subjects including history, journalism and music. I believe the best way to teach is to use patience and humor while maintaining high standards for factual knowledge and intellectual integrity.
