I am a a graduate from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Additionally, I have a M.S. in Reading K-12 from Nova Southeastern University. I have over 20 years experience serving students by helping them achieve academic success with 15 years as a certified Reading Specialist. I am passionate about student achievement, as I believe every child can learn through hard work, strategic teaching, and persistence. This belief is passed along to my students so they know their brains can get smarter. I enjoy teaching students who are struggler readers while I use multiple research-based reading strategies to meet each child's needs. Although I am a certified reading specialist, I also tutor students in math and writing. In my spare time, I enjoy taking hikes, riding my bike, spending time with family and reading.
