About Me

I graduated with a BS with Pre-med requirements from Cornell University and an MSW and MPH from Columbia University. I have experience in teaching Chemistry to incoming college freshmen and serving as a teaching assistant in psychology, biology, and math. I have also tutored elementary to middle school students in math, English, writing and have also assisted international school students in Japan. I am bilingual in English in Japanese. I have helped students who are upset and ashamed to regain confidence and joy in learning. I prioritize helping students finding study skills that work best for them, and reminding them that anybody can and will grow once we can figure out how they learn best and have fun. I ensure that students are understanding concepts by having them explain them back to me.
