Session Summaries by Statistics Tutors

Statistics Tutoring review by Ishita in Scottsdale, AZ
The students are both working on logarithms and exponential functions. I spent some time with them just going over the different parts and how they worked. Once I got through with that, they were able to make it through their homework fairly easily. Student 1 had more logarithm based equations and how to solve for them using various log properties, while Student 2 actually had exponential modeling.

Statistics Tutoring review by Melvin in Scottsdale, AZ
During this session we went over both physics and calculus AB. For calculus we continued integration via use of u-substitution. He seems to understand the material. For physics we went over thermodynamic questions. Because he hasn't completely been exposed to all the material, he had some difficulty moving through the problems but seemed to understand after going over the questions. Overall, this session went well.

The student and I spent the session working on Algebra 2, specifically Rational Functions. We worked on finding the y-intercepts, x-intercepts (roots), vertical asymptotes, and horizontal asymptotes. By the end of the session, he had a good grasp on how to find each of these parameters for different kinds of functions.
