Science Tutoring review by Andrew in Framingham, MA
Again, we went over the 5 different types of reactions. The student did retain quite a bit from our previous session. We are working on how to balance some equations. We worked through several problems from her worksheet and her book.

Science Tutoring review by Ashley in Framingham, MA
The student has a quiz tomorrow so our session today was spent reviewing problems of heat capacity, specific heat, and heat of fusion and vaporization. The beginning of the session was spent creating a quick study sheet with important equations and definitions to refresh him on the topic. He seemed to have forgotten a few things over the long weekend but picked up the problem solving quickly after going through the problems. We then reviewed the problems I left him with over the weekend. I think that if he can keep solving practice problems over the weekends he will stay more on top of the material for studying. He was in good spirits at the end of the session and hopefully it will show on his quiz tomorrow.

Science Tutoring review by Gwendolyn in Framingham, MA
The student was starting a new unit on solutions and saturation. We went over definitions (saturation, solution, solute, solvent, molarity etc.). She also started working on problems in her extra credit packet. She is more prepared for this coming week now that she learned these topics. She also reported that she passed her last chemistry exam, which was very difficult. She also finished the majority of her last extra credit packet on her own.

Science Tutoring review by Daryl in Framingham, MA
Yesterday we covered atomic structure, specifically looking at electronic structure, energy levels, and atomic trends. They told me about their previous week's quiz. I left them with no extra practice. I have no concerns with the session.

Science Tutoring review by Vidyavisal in Framingham, MA
We worked on physics Sl paper 1 for the student's IB exam. She was enthusiastic but made some mistakes. I left her with some extra practice and homework. She needs to make cheat sheets that cover all of her topics, and take practice exam 1 and 2. She was struggling with concepts in kinematics and circuits. We reviewed 22 questions from paper 1 and she had 7 of the 22 correct, although I feel confident she learned about her mistakes. That is why she is retaking paper 1.
