Adaptive Diagnostics

Students start by taking an adaptive diagnostic assessment that evaluates their subject proficiency and identifies learning gaps at a root skill level. Assessment results are used to develop a personalized learning plan that pinpoints where a student needs to improve, along with a scaffolded skill development strategy to target remediation and prevent unfinished learning.

Student-Tutor Matching

Our matching process considers over 100 attributes to make strong student-tutor matches that optimize academic, social, and motivational learning outcomes. This includes support for students on IEPs and 504 plans, students requiring Academic Intervention Services, students in need of math and reading intervention, and English Language Learners.

For small group tutoring, this process helps us place students in groups with peers at similar proficiency levels, resulting in better collaborative learning.

Reassessments

Reassessments serve as valuable “check-ins'' and are available to students at any time. Using the initial adaptive diagnostic assessment as a baseline, the reassessment helps measure whether a student is making meaningful progress toward desired learning outcomes. The results can help educators ensure a student’s learning plan is up to date.
