We reviewed and practiced multiple choice problems in anticipation of the student's final and the AP exam. I went over 4 problems from her homework that she had questions on, then we worked through a mock AP multiple choice exam that I had. We covered a wide variety of topics while going through my multiple choice questions. We completed 40/60 together, and she is going to try the rest on her own.

Physiology Tutoring review by Michael in Fountain Valley, CA
In this session, we discussed the topic of solubility, specifically regarding nonpolar vs polar substances. Her teacher had asked each student to think of five kinds of stains, a household way to remove the stain, and to come up with a valid scientific explanation using their current knowledge. She did well with this activity, and with her hypotheses for reasoning polarity vs. nonpolarity, she was correct nearly every time. I worked with her to help explain how solvents could have polar and nonpolar aspects which work to remove all components of the stain. We finished this with some time to spare, so we worked on a review of her algebra homework, covering operations with functions, like addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication of functions.
