The student has a test this week, and we went over the topics that his teacher said were going be on it, which included size of atomic radius and ionization energy trends, quantum numbers, electron configuration and orbital diagrams, and anything else that he had notes for. We reviewed each of these topics in length and worked on end of the chapter questions. He also did a chapter assessment and was able to get almost all the questions correct. We may meet again this week to review for his test.

The student worked on chemistry and algebra 2 homework. His chemistry homework covered stoichiometry, balancing chemical equations, and limiting reagent problems. In algebra 2, he covered simplifying expressions with complex numbers, multiplying by a conjugate, and FOILing binomials with complex numbers.

This session was a little different because, instead of vocally summarizing the key points, I wrote them down on the document editor and had her copy them. After the session, I asked her to review the practice problems we went over.

The student and I met to go over his work in Chemistry. We reviewed and did practice problems on acids and bases, calculating pH, determining equilibrium constants, etc. This is a difficult chapter as it draws on many different chemistry concepts, so we agreed to meet again this weekend to do more review after he has his next class.

Today, the student received a chapter packet (homework) from his teacher covering chapter 6, Human Population. We were able to go through and complete the packet. This chapter seems to be very straightforward, and he seems to have been paying attention in class. He has already grasped many of the concepts.
